We took a tour of New Orleans, starting at the French Quarter

  Jackson Square

This restaurant only serves coffee and hot, hot begnets (small elephant ears) Good! I only had 4 but Al said I had 5. FEMA had these all over the city.
And they were wonderful.

A local parishioner took us thru the 9th Ward

  East New Orleans near
Lake Ponchatrain

The water was not discriminatory, On the south shore of Lake Ponchatrain, this upscale neighborhood had 3 feet of water in all of the raised homes.

Levee

This home in the lower Ninth had water up to the middle of the windows. It had been moved off of its foundation and into the street.
